ASSIST is proud to congratulate Namita Lokare for being selected as a finalist in the Student Poster Contest by SAS. Namita is one of only six students awarded an all-expense paid trip to present her research at the 2016 Analytics Experience Conference. Namita is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at NCSU in the Active Robotics Sensing Laboratory, with advisor Dr. Edgar Lobaton, an ASSIST professor. She received her MS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Southern California in 2012. She spent the summer of 2016 working at SAS as a machine learning fellow. Her research interests include applications of machine learning and computer vision in wearables.
